Ndevor is a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform developed by Newland specifically for their devices. The platform is designed to manage the entire lifecycle of Newland devices – from installation through updates and maintenance to migration to new hardware generations. The tight integration between software and hardware enables optimized performance and functionality specific to Newland devices.
Ndevor functions as a cloud-based system with access through a web interface, allowing secure access from desktops or tablets.
The web interface serves as the central point for device management. It enables firmware updates, creation of application profiles, and device settings. Profiles can be cloned and modified, simplifying bulk configuration of new devices.
The Ndevor platform provides real-time statistics on the status of all Newland devices. The system displays which devices successfully received the sent configurations and profiles. Monitoring includes tracking downtime with filtering options by time periods, groups, or individual devices. Ndevor enables creation of different application sets for different user types. Each user has access only to applications relevant to their job role, reducing the risk of improper use and simplifying the user interface.
Enrollment of new devices is performed using QR codes. QR codes can also be used to assign devices to groups. Device groups can be defined based on locations or purpose of use.
The system allows complete remote access to devices for troubleshooting and user assistance. Administrators can control the entire device operating system remotely after logging in through a secure connection.
Ndevor offers several security levels:
The system can display the last known device location via GPS and Google Maps. The standard Ndevor package includes a certain number of location queries per month.
Ndevor supports all current and previous Newland device models with Android 8 and higher.
Ndevor is provided without licensing fees as complementary software to Newland mobile devices. The system is developed internally by Newland specifically for their own devices.
